The 11th Annual Hammer Museum Gala in the Garden Once seated for dinner at the Hammer Museum’s annual gala, sponsored by Bottega Veneta, guests were welcomed with great hilarity by co-hosts Rita Wilson and actor Will Ferrell, standing in for Wilson’s husband, Oscar winner Tom Hanks, who was unable to attend at the last minute. Along with raising $2 million, the event marked a milestone when it was announced that, beginning February 2014, admission to the Hammer would be completely gratis, courtesy of two individual gifts of $1 million from longtime Hammer Museum benefactresses Erika Glazer and Brenda Potter.
