At its Brentwood location, A.O.C. will present a special Hanukkah dinner celebrating Olio Nuovo on Dec. 29. The evening will also welcome author Amelia Saltsman, whose cookbook, The Seasonal Jewish Kitchen, inspired the menu. Dish highlights, which will also showcase Olio Nuovo, include farmer’s market vegetables, latkes with roasted smashed apples and sour cream, braised beef brisket with autumn slaw of beets and pistachio ice cream sundae, among others.

Each night of Hanukkah, the Beverly Wilshire will hold a menorah lighting with Rabbi Dovid Begun from Chabad of Southwest Beverly Hills. Beginning at 8 p.m., the communal evenings will also feature kosher cookies and hot beverages. The Dec. 27 celebration will take place at 3:45 p.m.

For a sweet treat, consider Genghis Cohen’s annual Hanukkah ice cream collaboration. This special edition Hanukkah dessert is made in partnership with McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream and is available by the scoop or pint with pickup orders via Genghis Cohen’s website. Additionally, for the first time ever, it is available for purchase nationally on the McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream website. The coveted flavor, Baby Got Mac(aroon), features toasted coconut macaroon cookies swirled into coconut cream ice cream and shards of melted, bittersweet Guittard chocolate.

For sweets enthusiasts who prefer donuts, Kith Treats has teamed up with Doughnut Plant on a limited-edition special inspired by the sufganiyot, Hanukkah's traditional deep-fried jelly donut. The Jelly Doughnut Ice Cream Sandwich loads Kith Treats' signature vanilla ice cream infused with Frosted Flakes, toffee crunch and strawberries between a Doughnut Plant yeast donut lined with strawberry jam and topped with powdered sugar and fresh strawberry preserves in the shape of the letter “K.” In addition, Kith Treats has released a three-piece capsule collection honoring the sufganiyot.

From Dec. 25 to Jan. 2, 2025, The Maybourne Beverly Hills will host a menorah lighting led by Rabbi Cunin each night of Hanukkah. Guests and locals are invited at sundown in the lobby area for the ceremony.

On Dec. 31 at 7 p.m., The Shay will welcome locals and hotel guests to its annual menorah lighting ceremony, which is held in partnership with the Jewish Community Center of Culver City. The ceremony will also feature a spread of latkes, soup and sushi. Tickets are available now.
