THE PARTY More than 1,000 guests gathered at the Hammer Museum in celebration of its fourth annual Kids’ Art Museum Project benefit (K.A.M.P.). Museum director Ann Philbin hosted children of all ages, including the young at heart. THE PLAYERS Breckin Meyer, Gelila Assefa Puck and Wolfgang Puck, Lawrence Bender, Rebecca Bloom, Jodi Guber Brufsky, Rosette Delug, Viveca Paulin, Honor Fraser, Ryan and Tucker Gates, Candace and Charles Nelson THE HIGHLIGHTS Red-carpet regulars Julie Bowen, Dianna Agron and James Van Der Beek surprised guests with readings of their favorite children’s books. Among the star narration was a rendition of Esphyr Slobodkina’s classic, Caps for Sale, by celeb storyteller Jodie Foster. Meanwhile, Edgar Arceneaux, John K Chan and Nery Gabriel Lemus joined the painters, sculptors and architects who taught creative workshops to the likes of Amanda Peet, Jack Black and their broods. And though Sprinkles Cupcakes supplied an event-ending sugar rush, the sweetest finish of all comes courtesy of the final tally: The Brooke Kanter-chaired affair raised $175,000 for its kidcentric cause.
