Stars and fashion lovers wined and dined in the Hollywood Hills for the annual Stella McCartney-sponsored H.E.A.R.T. brunch, which raised money for the Violence Intervention Program (VIP).
THE PARTY Isla Fisher, Rebecca Gayheart Dane and Jessica Capshaw were just a few of the stars who feted the annual H.E.A.R.T. brunch, which Stella McCartney funded for the seventh year in a row. Although the fashion mogul wasn’t in attendence, she left a handwritten note of thanks on each guest’s chair. THE SCENE The event was held in the backyard of Annika & Abe Somer’s English Tudor home, with guests surrounded by gardens and koi ponds. Following the program, attendees shopped McCartney’s collections in a pop-up boutique on the grounds to support H.E.A.R.T. For brunch, they munched on a vegetarian spread by Gjusta Bakery and Sprinkles ice cream and cookies. THE HIGHLIGHTS Grey’s Anatomy star Jessica Capshaw shared her heartfelt support for the event in a speech, and a keynote speech by VIP founder Dr. Astrid Heger made guests tear up as she spoke about the horrible cases of child neglect and abuse she has seen in L.A. Eve Gerber, co-founder of H.E.A.R.T. told the crowd: “Bones heal; bruises fade; but hope and dignity require a lot more than stitches can do to restore. What H.E.A.R.T. really is is a fresh start.” -Brandi Fowler
