Calling all culture vultures. You can now wear your mind on your sleeve, because popular street culture media outlet Highsnobiety is blending luxury and rap-culture with cool wearable looks thanks to a collaborative fashion collection with the ever-iconic Jacob & Co.
Founded by designer Jacob Arabo, Jacob & Co has been outfitting ballers of all lifestyles in high-end jewelry, timepieces and engagement rings since 1986. Rap fans may know him as “Jacob the Jeweler,” a nickname coined by the late-great Notorious B.I.G., and his reputation with MCs has grown with pieces made for Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Drake and more.

Jacob & Co’s ties to this musical culture make the brand a perfect partner in Highsnobiety’s streetwear game, and it marks the jeweler’s first foray into the world of ready to wear looks.
"At Jacob & Co, we have stayed at the forefront of defining and disrupting pop culture and high luxury fashion for the last 30 years,” Jacob & Co CEO Benjamin Arabov states in a press release. “I saw an opportunity to expand our reach into luxury lifestyle clothing that could be inclusive and accessible. I am eager to share partnerships with marketplaces like Highsnobiety as an opportunity to elevate Jacob & Co into our fans’ everyday lifestyle.”
The Highsnobiety x Jacob & Co collection draws inspiration from the latter’s signature Five Time Zone watch series. Colorful dials, interchangeable bezels and straps create form for graphics and modes for offered hats, hoodies, jackets and more; all of which are decked out in a collaborative Highnobiety and Jacob & Co logo.
Designs play out in abstract shapes and primary colors. Delicate script runs down sleeves, as t-shirts and hoodies come to life in muted jewel-tone colors and tan. We’re particularly fond of the varsity jacket, available in both light and dark styles, embroidered with the playful take on the FIve Time Zone watch face.
Of course, it being Jacob & Co, there are a few stylish jewelry accessories to be had, as well.
“We know more than anybody how ingrained Jacob & Co is within culture and fashion,” Highsnobiety founder and CEO David Fischer states. “It’s an exciting next step for Highsnobiety to now enter their storied world as a partner for their first lifestyle and apparel offering.”
