Jenny and Lily Monbouquette, the mother-daughter team behind L.A.-based jewelry brand Monbouquette, launched their line with a unique approach: clever, convertible jewelry. “The innovation behind our earliest design concepts took years to develop,” says Jenny. “Once we realized we could take just about any category of jewelry and morph it into something playful with a hidden functional twist, our dream for this collection became a reality.” With over 35 years of experience as an art advisor, Jenny’s artistic eye combined with Lily’s fashion expertise form a perfect partnership, resulting in a collection that stands out for its originality and playful ingenuity. “Our pieces are classic and sleek but also infused with an unexpected sense of play,” Lily shares. Every design features something beyond the obvious: elements that move, compartments that open or mechanisms that transform, offering multiple ways to wear a single piece. Crafted with ethically sourced 23.5 karat gold over recycled brass and sterling silver, the line reflects a commitment to thoughtful growth and local production. “We still collaborate on every aspect of the business, sharing the same little desk in our studio,” Jenny shares. With upcoming collaborations, in-person events and expansions into custom fine jewelry, Monbouquette will continue to surprise and delight customers in 2025 and beyond. Here, the creative and chic duo reveals the stylish staples they reach for.
