Buyers, start your engines. Formula 1 racer Jenson Button just listed his breathtaking Bel Air farmhouse for $9.375 million.
Button and his fiancée, Brittany Ward, bought the home in 2018 following the racer's Super GT Series win. Spanning 8,000-square-feet, the home sits on three-quarters of an acre, and the couple spent the last two years retouching and remodeling the property.
The simple yet chic exterior was built by AMG Capital, and despite being relatively traditional and unornamented, the white and black color palette gives the six-bedroom, six and two-half bathroom home a modern look.
The color scheme continues inside with an elegant, rustic touch. Black Lacquer Interior Design partnered with Ward on the tasteful look. Ebony floorboards run from the entry through all the living and dining spaces.
A marble fireplace sets a cozy tone in the single-family home mansion. The mansion makes ample use of marble, quartz, wood and stone to complement the decor and give the elegant abode a comfortable feel.
The dining room includes a large glass case for wine storage, which gives the space a restaurant-like feel. There is another room for more casual dining, adorned with pink wood that adds to the brightness of the “breakfast room” area. The grandiose kitchen includes two islands in a gourmet cooking space.
Nature lovers will delight in the home’s private terrace overlooking a well-planted hillside. The hill guards an excellently managed garden. The grounds also feature a swimming pool and spa, in addition to an outdoor kitchen and bar area. A fire pit by the pool is perfect for an outdoor party or barbecue.
The home comes complete with a cinema, two garages for four cars, and plenty of parking space for auto-enthusiasts—something Benson surely made good use of during his tenure.
Button and his fiancée purchased the home just a year before its completion, and they’ve left it in more than ideal condition.
Button is no stranger to the real estate game, having quickly sold a home in Brentwood in 2019. It looks like he knows his way in and out of the tracks, racing from one house to the next.
