Jeta Amata's Black November

| April 23, 2012 | Parties

The destruction from the BP oil spill was so massive in the lives of the people in the Gulf of Mexico and the coastal eco-system affecting thousands and thousands of people. What happened in this particular incident happens up to TEN times a year in the Niger Delta, and the stars last night gathered to support awareness for this environmental cause at the highly anticipated screening of Jeta Amata’s Black November. The film follows the Niger Delta community’s plight against their own government and a multi-national oil corporation. Supporters of the cause and the film include the stunning Rosario Dawson and Hollywood royalty Rumer Willis who were both in attendance at the screening and post-dinner bash at Bagatelle LA.

Dawson, a vocal and well-known political activist in the entertainment community, cried throughout the film and gave an emotional post-screening interview. Willis chatted with the director and Black November cast along with actor pals Ben Hollingsworth and newly single Vampire Diaries hottie Zach Roerig over dinner at Bagatelle.
