THE PARTY Susan and Alan Casden hosted a dinner to fĂȘte the Secrets d’Orient collection at Chanel’s gem-laden boutique. THE PLAYERS Olivier Stip, Monique Lhuillier, Perrey Reeves, Judy Chang, Joni Smith, Kevin Lee, Larissa Sabadash, Michel and Sally Perrin, Benjamin Comar, Dave and Tonya Winfield THE HIGHLIGHTS An intimate group of friends and Chanel VIPs gathered on the fourth floor of the Rodeo Drive boutique to sip and nosh, and mainly to set their sights on the opulent baubles, inspired by Mademoiselle Chanel’s renowned love of all things Eastern. The jewelry also set the scene for a Moroccan-themed dinner helmed by chef Suzanne Goin, which included a vegetable fattoush and grilled snapper with farro tabouleh, tomato confit and pine nut harissa. BEST IN SHOW Susan Casden, who looked radiant in Chanel Haute Couture from the fall 2007 collection. Runner-up? Wedding planner Lee, of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fame, said he wore a snappy blue bow tie for his friend Sabadash, in honor of the color scheme throughout her latest interior design project.
