Rosetta Getty, Brigette Romanek and Angelique Soave hosted a private dinner on June 5, 2014 for artist Kathy Taslitz at Taslitz’ downtown LA studio for a fortunate group of collectors, curators and art cognoscenti in honor of the release of her newest polished stainless steel 9’ x 6’ sculpture Let It Go. The work encapsulated the concept of transitory life and impermanence. A private dinner and reception with the artist, were held including a blessing of the sculpture by a Buddhist priest. Attendees mingled sipping Lychee martinis and dined on Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice Cakes, seared Sea Scallops and Glazed Short Rib on Bao Buns while they viewed the sculptural installation with amazement commenting on it’s strong presence and sense of peace. Taslitz’ sculpture will be on view at her Los Angeles studio for the next month by private appointment which can be arranged through her website kathytaslitz.com.
