Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are ready to settle down as a family, moving into the Montecito mansion they snagged for $14.2 million.
The happy couple actually bought the home last fall, shortly after welcoming their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom into the world, but according to realtor.com, they're just now moving in following tons of upgrades.
Perry and Bloom struck a pretty impressive deal. The estate initially hit the market for $20 million back in 2019. The asking price slowly inched down to $16.25 million, but the pop singer and actor managed to punch it down even more, shaving almost $6 million off that initial asking price.
The residence’s previous owners, CEO of Chrysler Robert Kidder and his wife Mary, owned the property for more than two decades. Built in 1928, the home was originally designed by architects Edwards and Plunkett, and famously renovated by Lutah Maria Riggs, the first woman to be licensed as an architect in Santa Barbara. Despite recent revamping, the decadent home never lost its magical '20s touch.

The grand, three-story estate is lined extensively with oak trees leading into the home’s main exterior. Expanding across more than nine acres, the 6-bedroom 12-bathroom property offers a spacious yet comfortable floor plan. On the main level sits the living room, formal dining room, and breakfast room which leads to an outdoor dining area, as well as an open kitchen with a large island and butler’s pantry.
Blessed with both mountain and ocean views, the vast home boasts a glassed-in sun room, family room, guesthouse, detached office, pool, cabana and tennis court. The lower level contains a wood-paneled office and conference room, while the uppermost level features a massive master suite with sitting area, fireplace, dual baths, dressing room walk-in closet and private balcony.
The “Never Really Over” singer and Lord of the Rings star individually sold or are still in the process of selling individual California homes.
Perry currently also owns an $18 million gated residence in Beverly Hills, and she put a guesthouse on the market for $7.85 million. The property is large enough to act as a home all by itself, with 4,400 square feet, four bedrooms, a master suite and a formal dining room.
The multi-award-winning actor sold a single-level, renovated bachelor pad for $8 million. The modern home features ipe-wood decking, glass walls and an infinity-edge pool.
