Sofi Stadium goes full country in July with Kenny Chesney and friends. Read on for everything you need to know about attending the Sun Goes Down Tour in Los Angeles.
Kenny Chesney will bring his Sun Goes Down Tour with the Zac Brown Band to Sofi Stadium on July 20. With the parking lot opening at 2 p.m., the doors to the stadium will open at 4 p.m. and the show starts at 5 p.m. The opening performer lineup includes Megan Moroney and Uncle Cracker. If you have floor tickets, be sure to head to entry 9C, 9D or 10A, while pit/ “sandbar” ticket holders can enter at 10B.
Sofi Stadium has a clear bag policy. Whether a backpack, tote or fanny pack, it can be up to 12” x 6” x 12” as long as it’s clear. You can also bring a small, non-clear clutch if it’s 4” x 6” or smaller.
Buy a parking pass in advance if you want to park on site, which is recommended to do so ahead of the concert because ticket prices increase on show day. Instead, if you commute via a rideshare service like Alto or Uber, be sure to go to the designated drop-off and pick-up locations. For arrival, you’ll want to head to the northbound curb lane on Kareem Court, while pick-up is at Kareem Court and Manchester Boulevard. Finally, if you choose public transit, take the Metro C line to the Hawthorne/Lennox station.
Sofi Stadium may be a concert and sporting venue first and foremost, but its impressive food and beverage lineup will make you wish you could eat here any day of the week. Concession stands can be found on a number of floors and each one is inspired by different areas of Los Angeles. Depending on where you stop, you can load up on the likes of birria nachos and chicken tenders. Alternatively, if you give yourself extra time for your arrival, consider stopping at a nearby restaurant on the way to the stadium, such as Calo Kitchen, Sunday Gravy, Cork & Batter and 1010 Wine & Events. See our full list of nearby recommended restaurants.
You’ll want to get to your seats as soon as possible if you want to catch the full lineup. In particular, based on the recent show in Seattle, the Zac Brown Band will hit the stage before 7 p.m. for about an 18-song set. With a sprinkling of rock covers between fan favorites, you can expect to hear “Chicken Fried,” “Knee Deep,” “She’s Walking Away” and more. Then, Chesney will likely start his performance sometime between 8:30 to 9 p.m. His set will run about 26 to 28 songs, hitting on tracks like “Guitars and Tiki Bars,” “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” “the Boys of Fall” and “Don’t Happen Twice.”
Sofi Stadium is located at 1001 S. Stadium Dr 90301.
