Dr. Kian Karimi’s passion for facial aesthetics and plastic surgery was sparked when he was introduced to rhinoplasty during his surgery residency at the University of Florida. “I loved the complexity of the operation and its profound psychological and emotional implications,” he says.
Today, as founder and medical director at Rejuva Medical Aesthetics in Brentwood, Dr. Kian is a highly skilled cosmetic and reconstructive facial plastic surgeon. In addition to rhinoplasty, facelifts, brow lifts and other procedures, he’s pioneered his signature facelift, the “Micro Neck Lift,” which he performed on a co-host of The Doctors for a segment of the TV show. “They filmed the five-hour procedure, which included an upper eyelid lift, a lower face and neck lift and laser resurfacing,” he says. “The result turned out perfectly.”
With a keen interest in improving the patient experience, Dr. Kian co-founded HealMD, a cannabidiol specifically formulated for aesthetic medicine, available in clinics across the US and abroad. It’s his patients that inspire the work he does everyday. “They come to me with a specific desire and put their trust and faith in me to help them achieve their goals,” he says. “It’s an incredible responsibility. I do not take it for granted.”
With a passion for learning, teaching and staying on top of the latest techniques and innovations, Dr. Kian chairs the Los Angeles Multi-Specialty Cosmetic Academy, an annual meeting in Beverly Hills with the best and brightest practitioners from around the world to share ideas. He says, “Aesthetics and plastic surgery combine science, art and psychology to make it one of the highest forms of medicine.”
