Arguably, the ideal dinner is a fantastic glass of wine, a savory entree and a view of a sparkling city.
Come Jan. 14, La Boucherie is back and ready to offer all of that and more to Angelenos. The InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown’s signature restaurant will reopen with an elevated new menu that features both vegan and vegetarian options and premium, sustainably-sourced meat and seafood. It rounds out with an award-winning list of over a thousand hand-selected wines.
Item highlights will satisfy steak aficionados and plant-based eaters alike. Choose between 32-ounce cuts of the Australian Wagyu tomahawk and Creekstone prime porterhouse or opt to feast over the crisp Brussels sprout pedals (flash-fried Brussels sprout petals, tea-marinated raisins, sweet peppers, candied pork belly, toasted walnuts, sherry vinaigrette) and black garlic eggplant (fire roasted eggplant, fermented black garlic, chickpea cream, sherry gastrique, petite amaranth).

Meanwhile, seafood lovers can indulge on the prime seafood tower (poached prawns, lobster tail, merus-cut king crab, grilled and chilled sea scallops, oysters 1/2 shell, salt spring island mussels, olive oil spiced Spanish octopus, purple salmon sashimi) before diving into the charred Spanish octopus (sherry-chorizo vinaigrette, marble potatoes, turmeric pickled onions, white frisée); loup de mer (whole oven-roasted Mediterranean Sea bass, salade de poivrons et tomates) or Ora King salmon (pan-roasted, purple sweet potato, candied walnuts, white frisée, blood orange emulsion). We suggest polishing off dinner with a raspberry and cream macaron, which are, in fact, filled with delicate raspberry slices.
Atop the 71st floor of the downtown hotel, the elegant California-French chophouse offers guests more than a premier menu. La Boucherie is truly a one-of-a-kind dining experience that permeates the buzz and charm of a world-renowned restaurant, but still allows for a discreet, intimate dining experience for discerning guests. Whether sat at the chef’s table or a starlight booth (complete with floor-to-ceiling privacy screens), all can take in the breathtaking panoramic view of the Los Angeles skyline.
What’s more, La Boucherie’s bar serves up well-established, bespoke cocktails from the most sophisticated of mixologists. A full menu has yet to be made public.
La Boucherie is located at 900 Wilshire Blvd. 90017. Reservations can be made on OpenTable.
