The art of dance is breathtaking. Constantly shattering boundaries and exceeding expectations of greatness, it is a stupefying artform to watch. Thankfully, Los Angeles is filled with endless dance talent.
L.A. Dance Project is one of these talented companies and is home to creative minds that embrace their diversities. With 18 full-time dancers, the company prides itself on its choreographic masterpieces, which feature a range of techniques and genres to inspire future young dancers from under-resourced communities. Keeping ticket prices affordable ensures that anyone can come together as a community and celebrate the art of dance. At the core of L.A. Dance Project is the mission to transform people's lives through the extraordinary power of dance.
After April showing tickets sold out in mere hours, L.A. Dance Project is proud to bring back its newest performance, Be Here Now, choreographed by the ever-talented Benjamin Millepied. Throughout June, audiences will have the opportunity to see the sensational piece that breaks down expectations of dance and song.

Be Here Now is lovingly inspired by composer Andy Akiho’s recent release of the Grammy-nominated "Seven Pillars”. The song goes past the standard definitions of classical music and unravels all preconceived notations to create something unexpected and legendary. Similarly, Millepied’s abstract piece showcases the dancer's exceptional technique while building up a theme of intimacy and community. It truly is a piece that encapsulates a transformative power worth seeing.
Tickets will be $30 for Angelenos or if you are under 30 years old, you can purchase your ticket for $15. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the company's partnership with Ghetto Classics Dance, a dance company in Nairobi, Kenya. The money will cover the travel expenses for young dancers to come to Los Angeles for an L.A. Dance Project’s two-week summer dance workshop in collaboration with Everbody Dance LA. By being able to experience Be Here Now, you will support deserving young artists with a life-changing opportunity to nourish their dance and grow as individuals.
Tickets for Be Here Now are available for purchase on L.A. Dance Project’s website.
