The LA Family Housing 2016 Annual Awards raised $1 million to end the cycle of homelessness for children and families. More than 450 prominent community, business and entertainment industry guests enjoyed a signature cocktail reception featuring several dishes by renowned L.A. chefs, live entertainment and auctions. Mayor Eric Garcetti delivered a special keynote in which he called LA Family Housing a “model for the city” and presented Matthew Irmas with the Sydney M. Irmas Outstanding Humanitarian Award—an award named after his late father. The night concluded with an energetic “paddle raise” where guests donated on the spot to help move nearly 200 families home.
