Second Coming
Now that Rebag has added a new location in Beverly Hills, buying and reselling luxury goods has never been so easy. Aft er opening outposts in New York City; Greenwich, Conn.; Miami; and nearby Arcadia, the brand debuted an 800-square-foot shop on Brighton Way in November. “We look at where our buyers and sellers are located,” says CEO and founder Charles Gorra. “Our store locations are a convenient drop-off point for sellers, and they give shoppers an opportunity to explore a curated selection.” Angelenos can look forward to items like a shocking pink Hermès Birkin or a Rolex Oyster Perpetual watch—updated weekly. A self-service Clair Corner kiosk gives instant price quotes, and a Rebag Bar enables customers to browse the digital inventory of over 25,000 items. Beverly Hills, rebag.com–Hannah George

FROM ROME WITH LOVE
“Beverly Hills has always been an important city for Brioni,” says CEO Mehdi Benabadji of the luxury Italian menswear brand, which in October moved into a new Rodeo Drive address near its previous one. Envisioned as a VIP lounge for an art-savvy, global client, the elegant boutique offers bespoke services as well as ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes and eyewear collections. Exclusive to the Beverly Hills store is a 100% silk limited-edition capsule collection comprised of a jacket, shirts, pajamas, pocket squares and foulards—pieces Benabadji says can “create relaxed looks to be worn on different occasions.” The idea of “being at home” runs through the decor of all Brioni boutiques, as do its Roman roots, referenced in Beverly Hills with Carlo Scarpa and Achille Castiglioni furniture from the ’50s to ’80s and two vintage Enrico Paulucci pieces from Italian fabric manufacturer MITA’s archive: a front carpet and tapestry on the back wall. “They are both a tribute to the ‘city on the hills,’” Benabadji says. Additionally, each Brioni store adds a local touch: “In Beverly Hills, Brioni has been inspired by the beauty of its sky: The blue room with the skylights is meant to make you feel this element.” Beverly Hills, brioni.com–Jasmin Rosemberg

Branching OUT
Over the last year, Westfield Topanga has introduced several new retail boutiques, such as Aritzia, Golden Goose, Honey Birdette and Scotch & Soda. A new Versace boutique debuted, as well as an expanded Salvatore Ferragamo store, and the Louis Vuitton outpost expanded its product offerings. However, the best is yet to come. In summer 2022, the Canoga Park shopping center will unveil a 180,000-square-foot expansion—transforming the former Sears space into a new indoor and outdoor dining, entertainment and retail district. “The district will feature more than 60 new tenants, among them a 7,500-square-foot Hermès boutique, a 20,734-square-foot Arhaus showroom, a 12-screen new-format AMC Theatres, and a Pinstripes dining and entertainment center,” says Kim Brewer, senior vice president of development for Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. A triple-height entryway with floating glass panes will greet guests, and a chef-driven food hall will house sit-down restaurants, lounges and cocktail bars, and public plazas. Chicago-based Pinstripes will offer Italian American cuisine, bowling and bocce; and Santa Barbara favorite Pickles & Swiss and a Dan Modern Chinese eatery will also join the lineup.
