The newest LA nightclub, Raspoutine, has redefined the iconic city’s nightlife scene. Targeting a more sophisticated and seasoned demographic than the competition, the club stands as a bridge between two shores: the Parisian Golden Triangle and the legendary Hollywood.
After the transformation of Raspoutine Paris into a nightclub in 2010, its opening in Rome in 2016 and its pop-ups in Marrakech and Monaco in 2017, the legendary nocturnal haven of style and elegance arrived in West Hollywood this past October. In a city full of exclusive venues and long lines, Raspoutine makes it mark and captivates the clientele of local membership clubs such as Soho House and Spring Place.
With a dream to develop this brand abroad, Alexander Ghislain and Logan Maggio, at the origin of the success of all Raspoutine's developments, secured an impeccable location for the Los Angeles branch—8623 Melrose Avenue, better known as the place that received the first liquor license in Los Angeles in 1919 before transforming itself into a speakeasy just a few months later.
Mirroring the same baroque-cozy-glamorous scarlet and gold decor inspired by the original creation of the artist, Erté, who designed it 53 years ago for the Paris Raspoutine, the LA location emulates the traditional codes of the original Parisian club, visited by Fashion week top models, Karl Lagerfeld, Kanye West and Leonardo DiCaprio to name a few.
Whether you’re an LA local or exploring the notorious scene of Hollywood for the first time, be sure to scope out the warm, regal ambiance of Raspoutine—open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. Come dressed to impress.
