Larry King's 60th Anniversary

| June 27, 2017 | Parties

60 years to the day that Larry King began his iconic broadcasting career, more than 250 guests celebrated the man and his milestone at Hyde Sunset Kitchen & Cocktails. Partygoers watched clips of some of King’s most notable interviews while sipping on custom-made Larry King cocktails by Casamigos tequila, Carbonadi vodka and Fiji Water. Kim Talbot Events helped transform Hyde into a Rat Pack-era space, a nod to King’s love of all things Sinatra. Macy Gray serenaded King with
Nina Simone’s arrangement of the Frank Sinatra classic, “My Way.” DJ Zen Freeman kept the crowd and the energy moving with his selection of music. Dave Damiani and his quartet backed Sinatra performer and impressionist, Robbie Howard. The evening ended with a celebratory cake cutting from Milk Bar, gift bags with treats from The Wonderful Company and Sleep Like A King, and songwriter Siedah Garrett performing “Man in the Mirror” while guests sang along to the Michael Jackson hit.
