SoulCycle's newly introduced SoulActivate class is a 60-minute high-intensity sweat sesh.

The Wall
Check out the brand new, 5,000-square-foot studio founded by celebrity trainer Jason Wimberly that combines core activation, high-intensity circuit training and indoor cycling. “Most studios favor multiple stations that you cycle through without much attention to those around you,” explains Wimberly. “But we move in unison in every class, so regardless of where you are on your own fitness journey, we are all in it together.” The Wall’s flagship includes two studios, a grab-and-go cafĂ©, communal space, fully-appointed locker rooms and more.

Platefit founder Rachael Blumberg has opened her highly anticipated third Power Plate studio in Studio City. “When I was introduced to Power Plate 15 years ago, I fell in love with the efficiency and health benefits of vibration training,” explains Blumberg, who designed a 27-minute, high-intensity interval workout around the medical-grade device. Her intimate classes tone muscle, improve blood flow, increase flexibility and more.

It’s no question that SoulCycle has been a staple in Los Angeles for six years, but master instructors Janet Fitzgerald and Marvin Foster Jr. recently created a new class deemed SoulActivate, which is meant to challenge the most devoted cyclists. The 60-minute athletic training and strength class takes place entirely on the bike, incorporates two arm series using heavier weights than the traditional classes, and focuses on intervals meant to spike your heart rate. “With SoulActivate, our loyal riders no longer have to go outside of SoulCycle to experience a cross-training method,” explains Fitzgerald. Time to hit the beach!
