THE PARTY The kings and queens of stand-up joined foundation supporters at the Beverly Wilshire for a rollicking evening honoring legendary manager and producer George Shapiro, and benefiting The David Lynch Foundation’s efforts to aid veterans and underserved youth. THE PLAYERS Co-hosts David Lynch and Russell Brand; guests Whitney Cummings, Kevin Nealon, Chris D’Elia, Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, Michael Cera, Daphne Guinness THE HIGHLIGHTS The hotel ballroom was transformed into comedy central with jumbo caricatures of Michael Richards, Jimmy Fallon and other jokesters hanging from the walls. Following Leno’s surprise performance, the crowd’s laughter slowly abated as they watched a touching yet lighthearted tribute video featuring Shapiro’s famous friends saluting the Emmy Award-winning producer known for his work with funnymen including Seinfeld and the late Andy Kaufman.
