Head up to the fourth-floor sundeck at this downtown Los Angeles hotel to escape to a Casablanca-style summer oasis. Available to the public through advanced purchases, the pop-up is open Thursday through Saturday evenings until the end of summer. Tickets start at $45 and include a pitcher of sangria and platter of appetizers to munch on while you lounge in the pillow-laden cabanas.

Opening night of the newest Marvel adventure is dedicated to the fans. On Sept. 2, catch Shang-Chi confront his past and the mysterious Ten Rings organization at the infamous Hollywood theater. Admission includes a popcorn tub, beverage, reusable themed bag, collectible toy and souvenir credential.

From composer Giuseppe Verdi and conductor James Colon, the Los Angeles Opera is back with Il Trovatore from Sept. 18 to Oct. 10. The epic tale of revenge, passion and fatal mistakes watches as two brothers fight on opposite sides of war while also vying for the love of the same woman. It all comes to life at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and from your home if you opt for the livestream.
