Los Angeles might not be the quintessential epicenter for autumn, but that doesn’t mean Angelenos have to miss out on any of the fall time fun, especially when it comes to Halloween.
Ensuring L.A. is as spooky and festive as ever when October rolls around, the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride is returning for the 2022 season.
“Haunted Hayride is a Halloween staple in Los Angeles, and one of the nations most recognized Halloween attractions. We’re thrilled to be bringing it back to Griffith Park,” said Christopher Stafford, CEO and founding partner of Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, which produces the event.
Fans of the premier Halloween experience can expect to return to Midnight Falls, a town where it’s Halloween all year long. You’ll get to weave your way through mazes like the Hayride, Trick or Treat and Midnight Mortuary and the newly revamped (S)Laughterhouse. You can also anticipate the return of self-appointed Midnight Falls Mayor Monte Revolta and his nightly town square performances. Backed by his band of the living dead, you’ll witness the talent of an undead irreverent lounge singer.
“We’re excited to bring fans back into Midnight Falls with an experience that just keeps getting better every year,” Stafford added.
Beginning Sept. 23, the Haunted Hayride will be open through Halloween. A limited number of presale tickets go on sale on Aug. 25 at a discount price, while general sales kick off on Sept. 1. Admission starts at $39.99. To note, the experience is ideal for visitors age 12 and over.
To make sure you’re not waiting in line for too long, you’ll want to get tickets in advance so you don’t have to wait at the box office and you can get into the expedited queues. However, be sure before heading into the mazes that you get your snack and drink fix and take plenty of pictures with monsters. Once you head on your trek, no recording devices or flash photography is allowed. And if you wear a costume, be sure to leave any accessories in the car. Haunted Hayride also has a clear bag policy, which also limits bags to a size of 4.5”x6.5”.
Haunted Hayride is located at 4730 Crystal Springs Drive 90027.
