Mimicking an intricate map of brain waves, sculptor Janet Echelman’s 100-foot-tall “Dream Catcher” is a multicolored web of fibers stretched across the 1 Hotel West Hollywood property. The August installation connecting the hotel’s two towers was inspired by guests dreaming in their rooms, as well as the concept of chasing after big dreams in Hollywood. 1hotels.com/west-hollywood

The Beverly Hills Hotel
As part of a rotating exhibit, the hotel’s renowned arts curator Jim Hedges transformed The Beverly Hills Hotel’s Bar Nineteen12 into a temporary Warhol gallery, where patrons enjoying the ritzy lounge can admire the iconic artist’s never-before-seen original photos. Downtown L.A. Proper Hotel
A collaboration with Kelly Wearstler, the Downtown L.A. Proper embraces the rich California art scene. The celebrity interior designer handpicked several local artists to decorate the renovated Renaissance Revival building with vibrant, custom pieces. As an ode to the area’s multicultural history, Abel Macias painted a ceiling mural referencing Mexican folk art, and Judson Studios’ stunning stained-glass doors illuminate the path from reception to restaurant Caldo Verde. properhotel.com/downtown-la

Hotel Bel-Air
Tucked away in the serene hills of Bel-Air, The Bar & Lounge at Hotel Bel-Air houses an incredible display of black-and-white photography shot by acclaimed artist Norman Seeff in the 1980s. The eye-catching and candid close-ups of Hollywood stars like Cher and Tina Turner spanning the walls provide an intimate glimpse into their stories. Hotel Figueroa
Designed in 1926 as a safe space for women traveling alone, the chic Hotel Figueroa in Downtown L.A. pays homage to its feminist roots through an astounding collection of artwork created by California-based female artists. Sculptures, photography and dazzling paintings adorn every crevice of the hotel lobby and 268 guest rooms. On display through spring 2023 is visual artist Ruthanna Hopper’s inspiring exhibit titled The Emergence, her reflection on uncovering old memories and opening up to new possibilities after life in a global pandemic. hotelfigueroa.com

Kimpton La Peer
The stylish West Hollywood hotel converted one of its meeting rooms into a studio and gallery for Australian painter James Peter Henry. Drawing from Cubist, African and Australian aboriginal influences, Henry’s bold and edgy murals explore the L.A. landscape through a unique lens. Pendry West Hollywood
Pendry West Hollywood, nestled on the Sunset Strip, is home to a selection of sophisticated fine artwork, thoughtfully curated by Lendrum Fine Art. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by famed design duo Cao Perrot’s “Sunset Jewel,” a 23-foot-tall golden tree sculpture with a black Swarovski crystal geode embedded within the trunk outside, and artist Anthony James’ mesmerizing mirrored sculpture in the lobby. JdV by Hyatt’s latest boutique hotel project, tommie Hollywood, features a multimedia art program that highlights the eclectic works composed by incredible L.A.- based artists.
