Los Angeles has no shortage of festivities for the Fourth of July. Whether you’re on the hunt for food or fireworks, read on how to celebrate this weekend.
Fourth of July is all about the food, so this Boyle Heights establishment is making sure you’re covered. Brooklyn Ave Pizza Co. is leveling up their chicken wing selection just for the holiday with special “firecracker” flavors: habanero (habanero and Calabrian chili honey dry rub) and Sriracha (Sriracha honey glaze with sesame and basil). Make it a smorgasbord of variety by also ordering their other classic wings: mole and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Dine-in or order to-go
The Hollywood Forever Cemetery’s most infamous summer series is, for the first time ever, celebrating with a three-day firework spectacular. Cinespia kicks off festivities with The Fast and The Furious on July 2 and follows up with Purple Rain on July 3. The long weekend concludes on July 4 with Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Come to see your favorite stars on screen, but stay for the photobooth, burgers, hot dogs, curated wine bar and ice cold beer. Tickets
Take in the holiday by not worrying about cooking— Birdie G’s has it all handled. By order one of their grill kits, you’ll be all set with a corned beef tri-tip or flatiron steak; housemade accouterments like Montreal Steak Rub, wild ramp-koji butter, rosemary basting brush, Al’s Steak Sauce and finishing salt made from Deep Sea Water; four cheese noodle kugel and a choice of Birdie’s ACG Caesar Salad or summer lettuces. A la carte items are also available for order, including whole pickle chick, rose petal pie and cocktails. Orders must be made three days in advance for pickup on July 2, 3 or 4. Order here
