Last Word Hospitality has expanded its L.A. restaurant lineup (Barra Santos, Found Oyster) with the opening of Queen St. Housed in what was once an auto service station in the 1940s, the raw bar and seafood grill concept serves up the likes of rockfish ceviche, pickled shrimp, Carolina gold crab rice and a strawberry rhum sundae.

The Restaurant at The Georgian now offers weekend brunch. A nod to the hotel’s mission to bring back golden age glamor to the Southern California coast, executive chef David Almany has crafted an elevated menu of brunch dishes like the Italian benedict, challah French toast, oyster crudo, a breakfast burrito and the Evergreen Omelet with goat cheese, arugula, soft herbs and avocado.

For the rest of July’s Monday nights, chef Tony Messina will take over Tallula’s as part of its Hecho Con Amor series. The James Beard award-winning chef moved to L.A. from Boston several years ago and opened The Surf Clam, an East Coast-inspired seafood concept. Stop in to try his lobster rolls, fried clams, crudo sashimi and more. Also, on July 18 from 7 to 9 p.m., Tallula’s will host Don Abraham for a tasting of Don Abraham Tequila in Felix’s Bar. The intimate dinner will include a welcome cocktail, four purs of tequila and four food courses. Tickets are now available.
