Makeup Artist to the Stars and WeHo Resident Nikki DeRoest on her Current Lust Haves

Laura Eckstein Jones | July 31, 2019 | People

Nikki DeRoest never questioned what she’d be when she grew up. “Beauty has been a way of life since I can remember,” says the celeb makeup artist, who’s worked with everyone from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to Hailey Bieber. Which is why when she recently launched RÓEN Beauty—her chic vegan makeup line that’s free of talc, parabens and gluten—it seemed almost predestined. “Nothing creatively and intuitively has felt more right,” she says. The well-edited collection currently includes two glowy eye shadow palettes, the shimmery Disco Eye and a plush brush, but more items are set roll out soon. “My line will continue to expand into all categories, but I am not willing to compromise on ingredients and innovation, so that takes more time,” DeRoest explains. “You can’t rush true quality and mindfulness.” Here, the West Hollywood-based entrepreneur shares her beauty secrets.
