| June 19, 2017 | Parties

Over $1 million was raised for the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts through a star-studded tribute to the legacy of music composer Henry Mancini on Saturday, April 1 at The Wallis in Beverly Hills. The Wallis’s Managing Director, Rachel Fine, said the proceeds from the evening would benefit the “artistic, education and outreach programs” of the three-year-old arts institution.

Wallis Annenberg, David Bohnett, Julie Andrews, Quincy Jones, John Williams, Kristin Chenoweth, Matthew Morrison, Patti Austin, Robert Wagner, Dave Koz, Clint Holmes, Chris Walden, Rickey Minor, Debbie Allen, Norm Nixon, Norman Lear, Raven Symone, Take 6 and many others joined in celebrating the life and work of the late Henry Mancini. Approximately 450 attended the event, which featured many of Mancini’s movie and TV hits, from the Oscar-winning songs “Moon River” and “Days of Wine and Roses” to his hit themes for The Pink Panther and “Peter Gunn.”
