Not even a day had passed since Halloween when Mariah Carey announced on Instagram: “It’s time!” The powerhouse vocalist officially resumed her role as Queen of Christmas and part of her duties this year includes the Merry Christmas One And All! Tour. Bringing holiday cheer across the country, Carey will treat Los Angeles to two special nights at the Hollywood Bowl. Read on for everything you need to know about the shows.
Mariah Carey will play the Hollywood Bowl on Nov. 17 and 19. For the Friday performance, doors open at 6 p.m., while doors open at 5:30 on Sunday. The show will start at 7:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively. Be sure to have mobile tickets downloaded and ready on your phone to enter the venue.
Bring or leave the clear bag; it’s up to you! Just be sure what you bring is 15” x 15” x 22” or smaller. Also, sealed outside food and beverages and reusable liquid containers are permitted, but outside alcohol is not allowed.
Carey’s holiday spectacle is sure to be magical, so we don’t want your night to be ruined by driving and parking struggles. Start your prep now by deciding on how you want to arrive. If you drive, you can purchase a parking pass for one of the stacked parking lots in advance. Alternatively, there is a shuttle, and you can park your car in a number of places around the city and hop on a direct bus ride over. Another method is parking your car at Universal City, hopping on the Metro and taking it to Ovation Hollywood. Lastly, for rideshare, drop-off and pick-up is at Lot B, for which the address is 2149 N Highland Ave.
Keep cozy at the Hollywood Bowl with warm beverages and snacks. You can opt to bring in your own picnic or can treat yourself to the venue’s excellent food and wine program, which is run by James Beard Award-winning chef Suzanne Goin and restauranteur Caroline Styne of a.o.c., Cara Cara and Caldo Verde. However, if you prefer to arrive with a full belly, consider checking out a nearby restaurant like L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele. Read our full list of suggested pre-show restaurants.
Carey hasn’t hit the road yet for this year’s Merry Christmas One And All! She kicks off the tour on Nov. 15 at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel and will journey to L.A. thereafter. However, last year’s Christmas show at Madison Square Garden offers some insight. The setlist spanned 20 songs, of which were primarily holiday tunes, but she sprinkled in a few original favorites like “Hero” and “We Belong Together.”
The Hollywood Bowl is located at 2301 N Highland Ave 90068.
