Like an elegant jewel box, The Maybourne Bar sits in its namesake hotel ready to invigorate the Los Angeles bar scene with a chic new spot. The Maybourne Beverly Hills finally unveiled its lobby bar to bring guests and Angelenos a premier cocktail experience, meeting the same high standard set by the Maybourne Hotel Group’s other award winning bars, including the World's Best Bar at The Connaught Hotel in London.
From the genius of world-renowned interior architect André Fu, The Maybourne Bar is an expression of his signature tactility and authenticity. Fu’s first hospitality project in the United States is all class and elegance. Celebrating the vibrancy of California while evoking European glamor, the space is dotted with high bar stools in Yves Klein blue and tangerine that sit against monochrome Art Deco decor.
Inspired by creating a “hidden jewel,” Fu brings it all together with a solid Turkish silver onyx bar accented with polished nickel. It is enclosed by walnut-paneled walls that serve as backdrop to gorgeous black-and-white Hollywood photography captured by Mary McCartney.
Just as important as Fu’s silver onyx bar is The Maybourne Bar’s cocktail program. Helmed by award-winning mixologist Chris Amirault (whose past includes Fiscal Agent and Tim Hollingsworth’s Otium), the menu is split into six pillars: highball, sidecar, daiquiri, old fashioned, flip and martini. Each features three variations of the cocktails, which range from traditional takes to Amirault’s innovative concoctions.

Given the surging popularity of the espresso martini, the menu includes the Killer Joe, which is made of coffee from L.A.-based Maru and homemade dulce de leche. Guests can also opt for something more classic, such as the Maybourne Martini. In tribute to The Connaught Bar’s iconic martini, this cocktail swaps in cucumber instead of the typical olives for a refreshing, vibrant drink that captures the California climate.
While cocktail aficionados will flock to The Maybourne Bar for one of Amirault’s mixology masterpieces, the menu also ensures a variety of culinary delights. For guests looking to share a quick bite, menu highlights include Wagyu nigiri on crispy rice and scrambled eggs with Periguad black truffle on toasted brioche. Guests looking for a full dinner will also find exciting options, such as the smash burger and Main lobster roll with smoked trout.
The Maybourne Bar is located at 225 North Canon Drive 90210.
