The weather is just starting to cool down and stay that way, but there’s a good chance you’re already missing summer. Southern California has it all with its abundance of sunshine, but for an ideal day by the pool or ocean, you’ll have to head south.
It’s perfect timing because ME by Meliá just unveiled the all-new ME Cabo. The lifestyle destination just finished undergoing $10 million in renovations for a completely reimagined look.
“The new ME Cabo has so much to discover, from the design to the cultural programming and the amazing new culinary concepts,” general manager Luis Dominguez said. “ME Cabo is back and is once again the heartbeat of Cabo San Lucas.”
ME Cabo is right on Los Cabos’ only swimmable beach and overlooks the infamous El Arco, meaning you get unbeatable views of the beautiful local landmark. Highlighting the local culture, the hotel’s new look by Alvaro Sans is bold, contemporary and sophisticated with a creative flair. When guests enter, they are welcomed by turquoise-embellished earthy tones that capture ME by Meliá’s signature European style, while still honoring the classic charm of Mexico.
The hotel’s 170 guest rooms further embody traditional Mexican design through a redesign marked by vivid colors and rustic wood furnishings. Ranging from 425- to 3,000-square-foot rooms, guests are offered rainfall showers and private balconies or terraces with garden or ocean views. Looking for a more personalized, elevated experience? Opt for an ME+ suite, which features a personalized room escort, an arrival cocktail, private check-in, personalized services from the Aura team, a complimentary Bali bed at the hotel’s Taboo Beach Club each day of your visit and extra in-room amenities, like an interactive HD TV.
ME Cabo’s reopening includes their new partnership with Grupo Rosa Nega, which will debut four dining experiences at the hotel that are dedicated to serving locally-sourced ingredients. The rooftop bar and lounge, Confessions Skybar & Tapas, offers guests a night of incredible views, a tapas-style menu and nightly entertainment. Looking for a more traditional meal? Head to their signature, open-air restaurant, Mamazzita Mexican Soul, for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Other options include Funky Geisha, their lobby lounge perfect for a lunch or dinner of Thai, Chinese and Japanese-inspired cuisine, and Taboo Beach Club, which allows guests to eat while relaxing poolside.
