Foodie-fashionistas rejoice. There’s a new block party coming to town made just for you.
On Aug. 20, the first annual Welcome to Melrose Hill Block Party makes its debut with a Saturday full of music and Los Angeles’ favorite cult brands and eateries.
Hosted by Italian-style delicatessen Ggiata and South Central clothing company Bricks & Wood, the evening event will, as the name suggests, take over the enclave nestled among Los Feliz, Larchmont and Koreatown.
“After visiting Melrose Hill two years ago, we quickly realized how special the neighborhood was,” said Noah Holton-Raphael of Ggiata. “An already vibrant and diverse community augmented by an influx of creatives and builders, we can’t think of a better place to celebrate with our friends Bricks & Wood. We hope this block party is the template for cultivating community in Melrose Hill going forward as the neighborhood continues to expand and grow.”
Welcome to Melrose Hill Block Party is free for guests to attend with RSVP and runs from 4 p.m. to midnight. For those 21 and over and looking for a more enhanced experience, wristbands are available for purchase that provide open bar access to enjoy cocktails and beverage brands, including Jumbo Time Wines, Los Magos Sotol and Happy Hour Tequila Seltzer, among others. Wristbands will be available for $45 on the day of the block party, but early purchase knocks down the price to $30.
