THE PARTY An ode to ’60s fashion and its influencers, held at MOCA Pacific Design Center THE PLAYERS Peggy Moffitt, Mila Kunis, Vidal Sassoon, Liz Goldwyn, Trina Turk, Gelila and Wolfgang Puck, Jeremy Scott, Jhordan Dahl THE HIGHLIGHTS Borrowing from model and muse Moffitt’s personal collection of Gernreich designs, local vintage expert Cameron Silver curated a colorful display highlighting the Austrian designer’s impact on mod fashion. Gernreich’s influence was felt throughout the evening as guests like Maria Arena Bell sported their own personal Gernreich pieces and looks inspired by him. THE SCOOP John Demsey, group president of The Estée Lauder Companies (which sponsored the event with MAC Cosmetics), had a personal connection to the evening, too: “My grandfather owned the company that supplied yarn to Rudi Gernreich when he was designing.” Photos courtesy of David X Prutting/BFAnyc.com
