The next great West Hollywood pop-up is an Elle Woods fever dream.
On Nov. 21, Nana Jacqueline opened its first-ever pop up in the U.S. right in the city where the brand’s history began. The wall-to-wall pink storefront offers shoppers not only the chance to try on the brand’s classy, but sexy pieces, but the opportunity to experience Nana Jacqueline as a fashion gallery.
“It felt like the perfect time to open the Nana Jacqueline pop-up store as the holidays were approaching,” co-founder Jacqueline Zhang said. “We are the go-to brand when clients need something to wear for a special event. We wanted the public to experience the excitement of the holidays with Nana Jacqueline. We also strive to open a retail space in the future, so we wanted to see how the customers react to the brand in person.”
Since launching in 2016, Nana Jacqueline has acquired a loyal customer base that includes celebrities like Hailey Bieber, Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo, Iris Law and the girls of Blackpink. It’s easy to see why. Nana Jacqueline’s collections imbue ‘60s sophistication without giving up the inherent glitz of L.A. nightlife. In the beginning, they focused on fashion home collections and have since evolved to include ready-to-wear pieces made of high-quality silk, satin and velvet.
“Los Angeles is where Nana and I started the brand,” Zhang added. “It is a dream for us to finally open a store where the idea for the brand was born.”
In partnership with Curve, the immersive shopping experience is here to stay through January of next year. It is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and closes on Sundays at 6 p.m.
The pink interior and exterior of the shop is welcoming even to just passing-by pedestrians. Upon entry, shoppers will notice the gallery feel of the store. The most exquisite items from Nana Jacqueline’s recent collections are laid out before you and are accompanied by framed images that capture the brand’s campaigns.
“The design inspiration behind the store comes from the Met Museum,” Zhang explained. “We wanted to create a gallery experience that showcases the history of our designs, campaigns and how we’ve developed over the past two years.”
Nana Jacqueline’s pop up comes just in time for the holiday party season. You’ll likely find the perfect look from their winter collection, which is currently on display. The red velvet Averi Jumpsuit would turn heads at any New Year’s Eve bash, while their lineup of coats work for a night out in Los Angeles or even on a winter getaway to New York City.
Nana Jacqueline is also your go-to spot for a special birthday outfit. The pop-up takes the celebration further by allowing you to make a whole experience out of choosing the look and elevating the “treat yourself” mantra.
“The store is in our signature pink color,” Zhang said. “When you order from Nana Jacqueline online, the pieces are packaged in pink boxes. We want this pink box to be translated in the store visually, as well as the emotions the pink box delivery brings to you.”
Nana Jacqueline is located at 158 N. Robertson Blvd. 90048
