With so many conscious customers out there, it’s unsurprising that lab-grown diamonds have exploded in popularity. Case in point is the newly opened Grown Brilliance boutique on Melrose Place, located across from Vrai and around the corner from Jean Dousseau (both of which also offer top-notch ethical creations). The female-founded brand’s beautifully designed pieces range from glimmering diamond studs to showstopping custom engagement rings and everything in between. We love it all, especially the graduated tennis necklaces. Meticulous craftsmanship combined with transparency, innovation and sustainability makes shopping here an easy choice.

“This is a place to explore,” says Sam Clark, owner of the new Larchmont Village boutique The Scent Room. Filled with a beautifully curated collection of 500-plus niche artisan fragrances, the sunny, welcoming store appeals to the scent-obsessed and novices alike. What makes the brand—which also has a Dallas location—so appealing is how the knowledgeable, unpretentious staff helps guide the journey of finding what’s suitable for you. “We are not uppity here,” notes Clark, who encourages customers to try as much as they’d like. “We do not push the hard sell,” he says. “You don’t have to be stressed or scared. You can have fun with it.”

“As an L.A.-based brand, there’s nothing more exciting than opening a Beverly Hills location—it’s our backyard,” says Andrea Lieberman, founder and chief creative officer of A.L.C. Designed by Mexico-City-based Punto Equise Studio, the brand’s sixth store, set to open this March, is awash with sculptural elements and organic textures. “There’s a sense of soul and warmth meant to give our women a comfortable place to shop,” says Lieberman, who calls out the store’s excellent styling program. Pre-Spring and Spring 2024 collections—a mix of structured and fluid pieces in ecru and dark green, with pops of rust, ice blue, and chartreuse—will be on offer, along with the brand’s beautifully tailored classics. “We like to infuse a considered and modern sensibility into everything we design so that each piece feels wearable but impactful,” she says. “Whether through a nuanced silhouette or distinctive embellishment, the goal is to create wardrobe staples that are timeless and versatile while being slightly left of center.”

Caruso’s Glendale shopping and dining mecca has been a longtime go-to for Angelenos. Who doesn’t love strolling in a park-like setting to the sounds of Frank Sinatra? Over the years, The Americana at Brand has slowly added more luxury boutiques to its roster, elevating the overall experience.

Last year, a slew of new designer shops opened, including Saint Laurent, Gucci, Tiffany & Co., David Yurman, Golden Goose and more, along with beauty destinations Byredo and Chanel Fragrance & Beauty. Stylish fitness enthusiasts will love the new Alo Yoga that opened in December and men’s activewear shop ASRV, which features sporty pieces in chic, understated colorways. And iconic footwear brand Converse opened a premium concept shop with a Converse By You customization bar, where customers can add personal touches to their sneaks and accessories featuring exclusive designs and patches inspired by the City of Angels.
This summer, look out for a brand-new Bottega Veneta boutique and the opening of upscale dim sum restaurant Paradise Dynasty. Talk about a one-stop shop!
