Restaurants across the city are embracing summer with new dishes, cocktails and more. Read on for what’s new in L.A. dining for the season.

The West Hollywood Edition restaurant by chef John Fraser has launched its new seasonal summer menu. Showcasing a standard vegetable-forward menu, highlights include seared Ora King salmon with zucchini blossoms, ratatouille and, for dessert, Arroz Sin Leche, a coconut rice pudding with honey sweet mango and a crunchy macadamia praline.

Alongside its excellent, comprehensive wine menu, both A.O.C. locations have new seasonal cocktail menus fitting for summer. Highlights include the Marzapán Espresso Martini, Suntory barrel-aged Manhattan and the Green Goddess with green tea-infused vodka, cucumber, arugula, jalapeño and absinthe rinse, from which a $1 of each cocktail sold will benefit L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade.

The rooftop at Hotel Per La recently revamped its menu. While enjoying live music by the pool, visitors can enjoy Mediterranean-inspired dishes like the baby kale salad with lemon vinaigrette, avocado, pickled golden raisins, fuji apple and parmesan cheese and the Mediterranean chicken wrap made with tzatziki, matbucha, pickled onions and mixed greens. Additionally, cocktail highlights include Brightening (Tito’s vodka, Montenegro, amaro, peche, devigne, fever) and the Poppy (amaro angeleno, Caravella, orange cello, prosecco and thyme).

The Bar at Short Stories Hotel recently launched brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends. Serving up breakfast tacos, various kinds of toasts and more, the menu also offers a tableside bloody mary cart and bottomless mimosas. There is also a DJ on Sundays.

Every Monday from 2 to 6 p.m., delight in the summer of the martini with Martini Mondays at Beverly Bar. Alongside happy hour snacks like avo hummus, burrata and shrimp tacos, you can choose from eight different kinds of handcrafted martinis for $12. Additionally, you can elevate any evening at Beverly Bar with the $49 Beverly’s Martini, which is made with saffron-infused Grey Goose and 24k gold.

Carmel debuted its brunch service on Father’s Day, which will expand to both Saturdays and Sundays starting June 22. Taking place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Tel Aviv-influenced and Levantine-inspired menu features dishes like the Bourekas Benedict, spinach, feta, poached eggs and hollandaise; the Dukkah Spice Fisherman Sandwich with crispy branzino, salsa verde and preserved lemon aioli and French toast, challah bread, creme fraiche and peach jam.

Kicking off on National Martini Day (June 19), Crustacean will have a martini and oyster happy hour at Anna May Bar from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. The special offering presents $10 martinis and $2 oysters.

Irv’s launched its new breakfast menu on June 15. Available from 8 to 11 a.m., it features four different kinds of breakfast burritos (all made with tater tots), an egg and cheese sandwich, loaded tots with applewood smoked bacon, chili con carne, a fried egg, cheddar cheese sauce, and onions and The Original (B.E.C.T).

Ka’teen revived its brunch with new menu items and a curated music program that showcases DJ performances every Saturday. Highlights include the breakfast quesadilla, strawberry concha French toast and, for drinks, El Jefe Wes Colada and La Bloody Maria.

The Nice Guy refreshed its menu for the summer with a lineup of new items, such as a black truffle bianca pizza, lobster conchiglie and mushroom arancini with truffle cheese and parmesan aioli. Added cocktails include the Champagne Papi and the Shake Down made with citrus and gin.

Available through mid-October, North Italia’s revamped menu for the season features dishes like seared sea scallops with sweet corn risotto, a vegetarian friendly tortelloni al pomodoro and a hot honey and prosciutto pizza. To pair, new cocktails include the Campari-enlivened Ristretto and My Verona with Hendrick’s Grand Cabaret, Sicilian vodka, framboise, Rosato aperitivo and lemon.

Ocean Prime Beverly Hills’ new happy hour specials include crab and artichoke dip, pastrami dip sliders and spicy salmon tacos. These join the lounge menu, from which menu items like parmesan truffle fries and oysters on the half shell are $5 off during happy hour. Additionally, happy hour will be extended to 9 p.m. on June 20 in celebration of the summer solstice.

The Santa Monica Proper Hotel restaurant has a new breakfast experience with a California-inspired menu font and center. Dish highlights include Santa Barbara-smoked salmon on an open-faced bagel, seasonal fruit toast and Mediterranean eggs, among others.

The Langham, Pasadena restaurant has a five-course tasting menu that impeccably matches its beautiful garden views. With the option to pair with a curation of wines, dishes include caviar with whipped creme fraiche, beet salad with grapefruit and goat cheese and top-tier wagyu cuts.

In the lead-up to its ten-year anniversary in August, Superba has evolved its all-day menu. Highlights include a breakfast burrito; Superba Bennies with a housemade English muffin, oven-roasted tomato, poached eggs and smoked hollandaise; Elisha’s Bowl with crispy falafel quinoa tabbouleh, tahini and pickles and the Southern fried chicken dinner, which includes Southern fried breast, thigh, drum and wing, two Korean fried tenders with sweet chili glaze, housemade brioche Texas toast, green bean salad with crispy shallots and mustard seeds, furikake ranch and house hot sauce dippers.

Who says mimosas are the crown jewel of brunch? At Tatel, you can partake in bottomless sangria for $23 on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Every Friday and Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m., the Terranea Resort hosts Sips and Sunsets Solivia which couples wine, a seasonal charcuterie board, ocean views and fireside live music with sunset sights. Meanwhile, every Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m., visitors can enjoy Slow Smoked Sundays at Nelson’s, which entails a slow-smoked feast of brisket, pulled pork and more alongside sides like potato salad, mac and cheese and cornbread. Additionally, the Veuve Clicquot Terrace Experience is open on Sundays from 2 to 10 p.m. at the lobby bar terrace, which features a menu of Veuve Clicquot Champagnes paired with a seasonal menu of summer bites.

Uchi West Hollywood unveiled its new happy hour menu at the end of May. Showcasing a dedicated menu of light bites, drinks and dessert, the daily 5 to 6 p.m. happy hour features $11 to 14 specialty cocktails; $10 to $15 wines by the glass; $6 beer; a $95 happy hour oyakase (eight-course tasting menu) and fan-favorite bites like the wagyu tartare bite ($8); crispy pork belly ($14) and the spicy crunchy salmon hand roll ($13). Additionally, Uchi kicked off its patio dinner series on June 9, which celebrates peak-season produce by partnering with a rotation of local farms. The next dinners take place on July 14, Aug. 11 and Sept. 8. Also, Uchi has expanded its delivery and to-go offerings with the addition of the Sushi Box, which comes as three choices: Ichi, featuring nigiri, maki and crudo; Ni featuring nigiri, maki, crudo and chirashi, a selection of sashimi and rice to combine to form a Japanese Rice Bowl and San, a box that contains everything in the Ni box and two types of caviar.

The rooftop restaurant and bar at the Kimpton Hotel Wilshire offers a build-your-own Bloody Mary cart during brunch service, allowing diners to select from a varied lineup of premium spirits, housemade mixers and garnishes.
