A Night to Remember

| May 22, 2012 | Parties National

THE PARTY Star power shone brightly at the annual gala held at The Beverly Hilton, which honored cancer survivor Sheryl Crow and Glamour Editor-in-Chief Cindi Leive for her charitable works. THE PLAYERS EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund co-founders Kelly Chapman Meyer, Anne Douglas, Quinn Ezralow, Marion Laurie and Jamie Tisch; Saks Fifth Avenue President Ronald L. Frasch; emcee Melissa Peterman; guests Kirk Douglas, Lisa Kudrow, Barbara Davis, Gela Nash-Taylor THE HIGHLIGHTS Following heartfelt acceptance speeches by both Crow and Leive, Rihanna took the stage and belted out five songs, including her hit single “Umbrella” and Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song.” The singer, who had to cancel her appearance at the same event last year due to illness, easily won over the crowd. Her biggest fan of the night may have been Steven Spielberg, who not only recorded the performance on his phone, but received an enthusiastic hug from the 24-year-old talent as she mingled with the delighted crowd.
