While watching the Oscars, consider doing your best impression of Wolfgang Puck. For 31 years, Wolfgang Puck Catering has ensured the Hollywood elite is nourished as they party the night away after the awards wrap, and 2025 is no different. Helmed by Puck and Eric Klein and, for pastry design, Kamel Guechida and Garry Larduinat, the Governor’s Ball (the official after-party of the ceremony) menu is a treasure trove of decadent bites spanning savory morsels to sweet delights. Highlights include mini wagyu cheeseburgers, truffle chicken pot pie, Spago’s signature tuna tartare in a sesame miso cone, truffle chicken pot pie, aged cheddar mac and cheese, bougie tots with creme fraiche and caviar, wild mushroom bolognese, popcorn shrimp with fried rice and chili garlic crunch and wood-fired pizzas. For dessert, the selection includes ice cream sundaes, made-to-order warm profiteroles, piña colada Oscar-silhouette éclairs and stamped-to-order Oscar logo chocolate stollen cookies.
Wine aficionados can stay on theme for the evening by opting to toast to the stars with bottles from the winery of cinema great Francis Ford Coppola. If you’re throwing a big party, there’s the six-bottle Cinematic Moments Collection, while those hosting intimate watch parties can consider the 2020 Director’s Cut Cinema (a red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel, with a touch of Petit Verdot) or the Cinema Gift Box (one bottle each of the Director’s Cut Cabernet Sauvignon and Cinema Red Blend).
Champagne fans can consider Champagne Lallier, which recently announced a multi-year partnership with the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The Champagne house will feature R.019 from Champagne Lallier’s flagship Réflexion series. Finally, if you prefer cocktails, consider stirring up the very drinks that will be served at the Governors Ball.
