Where more appropriate to celebrate the Oscars than at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures? Beginning March 21, pop into Fannys for a special limited edition menu of on-theme cocktails curated by barman Julian Cox. Choices include Belfast (Egg White, Pineapple Juice, Dimmi di Milano Liqueur, Apricot Liqueur, Irish Whiskey, Activated Charcoal), West Side Story (Orange Forte, Cinnamon, Averna Amaro, Irish Whiskey, Puerto Rican Rum) and Drive My Car (Avua Cachaça, Black Currant, Byrrh, Seasonal Spices & Fruit, Whey, Meyer Lemon), among others.

Inspired by the upcoming Academy Awards, the hotel’s signature restaurant, THEBlvd, has The Golden Croissant available until March 27. On March 22, EMILY’S List Creative Council will come together to highlight the groundbreaking women who are leading the way in their fields. The event will feature a one-on-one conversation between author, actor and council member Amber Tamblyn and WNBA star, ESPN host and activist Chiney Ogwumike. Other confirmed panelists include Gloria Calderón Kellett, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Bozoma Saint John, Robin Thede, Rep. Karen Bass and Yvette Nicole Brown.

Kickstart Oscar weekend with an on-theme cocktail. Over in Brentwood, Bar Toscana is hosting Nella barman extraordinaire Chris Hewes for two nights of specialty beverages that pay homage to this year’s Best Picture Nominees. Among other options, the menu will feature the Licorice Pinsa in a nod to Paul Thomas Anderson’s Licorice Pizza. It is made of tomato, St. George Green Chile Vodka, aquavit, ancho reyes liqueur, basil, lemon, agave and black sea salt. March 25-26, 5:30-close. Reservations highly encouraged.

Get away from the chaos surrounding Hollywood & Highland and drive up Fairfax for a one-of-a-kind viewing party. Fanny’s is set to transform its main dining room into L.A.’s chicest house party on Oscar night. Opening at 4 p.m., the space will be decked out with monitors to watch the pre-show and main ceremony and offers guests the choice of one entree and access to antipasti and dessert bars to indulge at their leisure. Who says celebrities get to have all the fun? Angelenos can indulge in their Hollywood-adjacent area code and head to the I|O Rooftop for a quintessentially Los Angeles evening. With views of the the Hollywood sign, downtown L.A., the Griffith Observatory and the Capitol Records building, guests can relish in the movie industry’s biggest night while watching the ceremony on Ilo’s 70-foot-tall projection mapping screen. Sitting in the interior courtyard, you’ll be treated to light bites, cocktails and F&B specials, including a charcuterie board, vegan sliders and assorted flavors of popcorn. $25 per person
For its 30th annual celebration, the Elton John-helmed party will be hosted by Lady Gaga, Billy Porter, Eric McCormack and David Furnish. Coinciding with the foundation’s 30th anniversary, the event has raised more than $86 million over the last three decades to supports its efforts to challenge discrimination, prevent infections and provide treatment. Brandi Carlile is set at this year’s musical performance.
The magazine returns for its 21st annual event series celebrating the Academy Awards. The week begins with a toast to young Hollywood at Musso & Frank’s , which will be co-hosted by Alana Haim, Ariana DeBose and Giveon. The future of Hollywood celebration will follow on March 24 at Mother Wolf and hosted by Amanda Seyfried and editor in chief Radhika Jones. Finally, the weekend will culminate with the infamous Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. Though these are all invite-only, award season enthusiasts can take part by watching the livestream immediately following the end of the Academy Awards at 8 p.m. PT/ 11 p.m. ET. Catt Saddler and Phoebe Robinson will return as hosts, while Mark Seliger will again helm his signature Oscar party studio.
