THE PARTY Polo spectators turned out in their country-club best for this yearly Champagne-soaked affair, held at Will Rogers State Historic Park in the Pacific Palisades. THE SCENE Co-hosts Rachel Zoe and hubby Rodger Berman, along with Owen Wilson, Mandy Moore and Dianna Agron, were among the VIPs who took their seats at tables laden with picnic baskets and bottles of bubbly to enjoy the match between teams Black Watch and Nespresso. Ashley Madekwe threw out the ceremonial first pitch of the game, in which co-host and Black Watch captain Nacho Figueras played alongside his 13-year-old-son, Hilario. Among those watching intently from the sidelines was Minnie Driver, who has a special connection with the sport, and fondly recalled her first horseback-riding memory. “My dad was a polo player, and it was riding on a polo pony with him,” she said. “I’ve got a picture of it. It was perfect.” THE HIGHLIGHTS Within minutes, both Figueras boys had scored goals for their team, eventually winning the match 8-7 over Nespresso. And naturally, there was plenty of Veuve on hand to toast their successes. Photography by Jason Merritt and Charley Gallay/Getty Images for Veuve Clicquot
