The 175-room mainstay—designed by architect Gulla Jónsdóttir and her talented team—boasts a sensorial experience through contrasting patterns and textures. “Sandbourne Santa Monica was a thrilling endeavor for us that required a blend of creativity, strategic planning and a deep understanding of the environment of the property—its location and the uniqueness of being a part of not just Santa Monica but Los Angeles,” said Jónsdóttir of the property. Within the hotel is a balanced array of amenities, including direct beach access, a pool decorated with dressy cabanas, an indoor-outdoor fitness center and a full-service wellness spa coming in 2025. The hotel’s main dining concept by chef Raphael Lunetta offers coastal Californian dishes, beckoning guests to indulge and unwind.
