This weekend, Secret Project comes to downtown Los Angeles for an all-new, intimate experience.
Between the factories, bridges and art-plastered walls and industrial core of the Arts District, Secret Project will debut a 360-degree dance floor for an urban event like no other from Oct. 2 to 3. The collaboration with Factory 93 runs 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. each day.
Launched in 2018, Secret Project operates as a forum for avant-garde and esoteric electronic music in the heart of Los Angeles, bringing to the city a cultural experience usually seen in places like Berlin, Amsterdam, Detroit and Barcelona.
This year, Secret Project Presents: One Project Los Angeles goes down at 516 S. Anderson St. to deliver a weekend of cutting-edge house and techno international talents. The lineup features Ash Lauryn, Ben Böhmer, Carlita, Corey Sizemore, Richie Panic, Denis Sulta, DJ Minx, DJ Tennis, FJAAK, Floorplan, Krystal Klear, Maceo Plex, Nina Kraviz, Stacy Christine and Surround.
“We’re really excited to play on such a big stage, alongside some of the world’s best DJs,” Heidi Lawden of Surround said. “We’ve all been going to Secret Project since its inception and have no doubt we’ll be there having fun for the entirety of both days. Factory 93 really is spoiling LA with this lineup.”
“Secret Project is a garden of earthly delights with excellent production, pitch-perfect sound, a lineup of Lights Down Low alumni and friends from all over the world coming together in our backyard,” Richie Panic said, who will do a special B2B set with Corey Sizemore. Together, the duo run Lights Down Low, a California dance music institution known for the parties they’ve thrown across Los Angeles over the last decade.
“It’s exhilarating to be dancing, partying, and feeling the pulse of a city, a scene springing back to life after a dormant period,” he continued. “Hope springs eternal in this swirling scene of downtown debauchery as stroll into the DJ booth and push that big play button marked life.”
One Project is a one-off iteration of what is to come next year when Secret Project hosts a sold-out edition at the Amsterdam Dance Event.
