Who could forget the Great White Claw Shortage of 2019? The hard seltzer company literally couldn’t keep up with the mass demand.
Thankfully, we’re past that and White Claws, among a whole host of favorite hard seltzers, are always readily available. The explosion of variety in this beverage reflects its surging popularity in recent years. In fact, according to CNN, spiked seltzer is a billion dollar industry. It achieved the milestone just ahead of the White Claw frenzy in August 2019 when sales were up 200 percent compared to the previous year.
With the beverage maintaining a stakehold in our drinking habits, now is a good of time as ever to celebrate hard seltzer. Enter Seltzerland.
On Feb. 5, Cannonball Productions will head to the Bixby Village Golf Course in Long Beach with its nationally-touring hard seltzer festival called Seltzerland. Attendees can spend the say strolling the golf course while sampling over a hundred flavors of hard seltzers.
"Clearly, hard seltzer is here to stay." said Cannonball Productions founder and CEO Kate Levenstien. "We are excited to give everyone the opportunity to sample the best hard seltzers and find new favorites, all while enjoying great company, fun activities and beautiful weather on rolling green golf courses."
From national, iconic brands to beloved local companies, Seltzerland will feature the very best in the industry, such as Topo Chico Hard Seltzer, White Claw, Mike’s Hard Lemonade Seltzer, Vuizzy, Playamar and Sparking Ice Spiked. Visitors can round the day out by perusing the lineup of food samplings from Hormel Black Label Bacon and Rockit Apples, among others. The immersive experience also offers event swag and welcomes photo ops.
Seltzerland first launched in Chicago in August 2020. Even amid the early stages of the pandemic, the event was a success and went on to visit five cities that year. The following year, Cannonball Productions went on to put on a sold-out 20-city tour that made stops at golf courses in the United States’ most vibrant city centers, including Scottsdale, Tampa, Atlanta, Nashville, Austin, Chicago, Boston, Seattle, Las Vegas and Miami.
Tickets for Seltzerland are now available and start at $35 for general admission. VIP tickets are $55 and offer premier timeslots, a full-sized can of hard seltzer, a specialty cocktail and a complimentary treat.
