Tennis star Serena Williams is looking for an ace on the housing market.
According to the New York Post, she just listed her Beverly Hills mansion for $7.5 million. Situated in the exclusive guard-gated Summit Estates, the 39-year-old tennis player first purchased the property in October of 2017 for $6.6 million.
William’s upscale abode boasts five bedrooms and seven bathrooms in a three-story, Spanish-styled house with scenic views of the city across the valley. Spanning an extensive 6,000-square-feet, the property features an open floor plan accented with hardwood floors and contemporary finishes. The kitchen is made with Bianco Bella polished granite marble countertops, and the formal living room boasts a black-framed custom wood fireplace.
The interior offers plenty of amenities for activity and relaxation, including a wine cellar, a yoga room, a full bar and a gym. Williams' daughter's room is one-of-a-kind, with a hand-blown glass chandelier made by artist Josh Fradis for Olympia. The home also comes with a Control 4 smart home system and a Nest smart temperature control unit.
The exterior is just as extravagant, making the most of its quarter-acre land with a built-in Wolf barbecue and refrigerator on the patio. A Baja-style pool and expansive lawn make it the perfect space for entertaining.
Currently ranked 7th in the ATP’s list of female tennis players, Williams holds the title for most Grand Slam victories ever by a female player, with 23 trophies to her name. While Williams lost to the young star Naomi Osaka at the semi-finals of the Australian Open, she has her sights on Wimbledon this summer.
Despite spending the majority of their time in their Miami home, recently the subject of an Architectural Digest profile, Williams and her husband are looking for a new property in sunny California. They're reportedly searching in the Montecito area of Santa Barbara where longtime friend Meghan Markle currently resides.
