To celebrate Women's History Month and her new art exhibit Shedding, a Prelude, actress Sharon Stone welcomed some well-heeled females from the art and entertinment worlds on Thursday, March 2 to Gallery 33 — a new exhibition space at the soon-to-reopen historic Santa Monica hotel, The Georgian.
Stone, who began posting her paintings on her Instagram account during the pandemic, is displaying 17 of her colorful abstract works as part of the exhibit, which is available to be seen by appointment for three weeks. Guests and supporters who came to admire Stone's artistry included actresses Tiffani Thiessan, Isabella Blake-Thomas, Leisha Hailey, Rya Kihlstedt, Mitzi Martin and Pamela Adlon; costume designer Danielle Clarke; and songwriter Linda Perry.

Art fans enjoyed a spread of cheeses, desserts and delicacies while mingling on the ground floor of The Georgian — the iconic hotel which first opened in 1933 and will open its doors in April after a major renovation. London- and Los Angeles-based boutique design firm Fettle designed the interiors of the stylish space, which boasts 84 guest rooms, a scenic terrace restaurant and lobby bar, and a basement speakeasy restaurant and bar — where guests descended for more music and refreshments after viewing the artwork.
When asked by an art patron whether there was there was a woman hidden inside every painting, Stone said "yes." "And sometimes multiples."
