THE PARTY The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles (BAFTA) toasted the television event of the season with a silent auction and afternoon tea at The London West Hollywood.THE PLAYERS Emilia Clarke, Julian Fellowes, Edie Falco, Anna Gunn,Jared Harris, Damian Lewis, Dominic Monaghan, Sarah PaulsonTHE HIGHLIGHTS Aaron Paul, Eric Stonestreet and Julia Louis-Dreyfus raised a cup of traditional English tea to their fellow nominees—and to BAFTA’s 25th year in Los Angeles—against a panoramic backdrop of the city. Held the Saturday afternoon prior to the awards on the hotel’s sunny rooftop, the event also gave attendees the opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind items such as a white and beige dress designed by British duo Izmaylova and worn by Cobie Smulders to the Toronto premiere of The Avengers.THE ONE-LINER “I always remember a drama teacher saying, ‘The moment you relax, you’re dead,’” remarked Downton Abbey’s Julian Fellowes on being wound up about his nomination for outstanding drama series.
