PRE-LOVED LUXURY Following the success of its Melrose Avenue boutique, The RealReal has opened a second L.A. location in Brentwood. “Brentwood is such a distinct neighborhood in that it has a mix of both urban and suburban energy with a bit of Hollywood glam,” says TRR Brentwood’s head of shop, Morgan Lobell. “It is a vibrant, premier shopping destination where local shoppers and consignors already have such a strong appetite for luxury.” With ready-to-wear, accessories, artwork and fine jewelry, the 2,200-square-foot space features pieces geared toward local customers. In this case, think understated items from Hermès; dresses by Joanna Ortiz, Dôen and Simone Rocha; bags from Bottega Veneta and LOEWE; and more. For men, luxe casual pieces from Gucci and Loro Piana and weekender-style bags from Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Prada are on offer. As well, all items in the store—from the art to the furniture—are for sale, making for a truly well-rounded shopping experience. therealreal.com

WOVEN WONDERS“This collection reimagines fashion consumption and production, focusing in on the relationship between what we wear and the land where it is sourced,” says Janessa Leoné of her new line, Reciproqué. Made from regenerative, carbon-negative undyed wool, the line’s three sweater styles are more than just beautiful—they are making a difference. “Reciproqué is manufactured from start to finish through the only fully traceable, 100% Responsible Wool Standard-certified wool producer in the U.S., Shaniko Wool Company,” Leoné explains. “Their commitment to quality and quantifiable impact gives us a foundation to start designing truly climate-positive products—we are actively gathering data on the environmental effect of our wool and working toward a goal of full transparency. We hope to release numbers that can educate and empower our customers along with our new Autumn/Winter 2022 sweater collection as our next step in evolving Janessa Leoné to be a truly regenerative lifestyle brand.” janessaleone.com
A selection of pieces from Short & Suite’s collaboration with The Beverly Hills Hotel SHORT & SUITE PHOTOS BY MICHAEL ROACH
GEM DANDY“The Beverly Hills Hotel is absolute magic,” says Reidie MacDonald, founder and CEO of jewelry line Short & Suite. MacDonald—whose pieces have been spotted on Jennifer Hudson, Miranda Kerr and more since she launched in 2020—recently debuted a limited-edition capsule collection with the hotel. “When I started my brand, I designed pieces with The Beverly Hills Hotel in mind, so this collaboration is a dream come true,” says MacDonald, who drew inspiration from the iconic bungalows. “Bungalow 5 had these amazing chandeliers throughout... and No. 22 was sleek and sexy with the black piano and tiling,” she recalls. “When I designed the pieces, I could not stop thinking of them.” Standouts from the 12-piece collection include the #5 Chandelier ring in rich emerald, and the #22 Frank’s Girl earrings, in bold black and gold. “Every piece feels like a statement piece,” says MacDonald. “Nothing was off-limits but always done in style.” shortandsuite.com; shop. dorchestercollection.com
Clare V.’s Le Resale initiative aims to give pre-loved bags new life. CLARE V PHOTO COURTESY OF BRAND
IN THE BAG Beloved for her bold personal style and her colorful Clare V. accessory collection, tastemaker Clare Vivier has incorporated vintage pieces into her own wardrobe for decades. So, it comes as no surprise that Clare V. is launching Le Resale, a program that allows customers to buy and sell pre-loved pieces. “Vintage is close to our hearts,” says Vivier, a former Angeleno Woman of Style. “We love searching for those magic pieces and we love sending our no-longer-worn items into the world knowing they will be treasured by others.” The program allows customers to trade in their vintage—but still in good shape—CV pieces for new items or past-season gems that they’ve been lusting after. “More than anything,” says Vivier, “we wanted to promote circularity and the lasting value of a Clare V. bag.” leresaleclarev.com
