The ultimate companion to many of our favorite meals, few condiments are beloved like ranch.
It's something chef Stephanie Izard of Girl & The Goat and Cabra knows all too well, as made evident by her new collaboration.
The former Top Chef winner launched a product line of crunches, sauces and spices a few years ago called This Little Goat. “Even as a professional chef, I found cooking at home more difficult and stressful than feeding the hundreds of hungry guests in my restaurants each night. Like most working parents, I was constantly struggling to find the time to prepare exciting, flavorful foods that bring happiness to myself and those around me,” she explains on her website. “Over the years I learned to save that time by grabbing sauces, spices and crunches made in my professional kitchens and using them to prepare meals at home.”
On Sept. 19, Izard and This Little Goat leveled up everyone’s ability to be a little more innovative at home and in the kitchen with the release of Ranch Chili Crunch. A collaboration with Hidden Valley Ranch, the limited edition This Little Goat product balances the bold umami of Chili Crunch with the zest of Hidden Valley.

“I’ve always been a huge Hidden Valley Ranch fan— it’s no secret that there is always a bottle in my fridge— so I was really excited to have the opportunity to partner with them,” said Izard. “Both ranch and Chili Crunch make just about everything taste better, so it makes sense to put them together to create the perfect topping!”
The Ranch Chili Crunch can elevate the likes of frozen pizza, chicken wings, ramen and more. Enlivened by the flavors of Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning, it is also made with gochugaru chilis, puffed red quinoa, fried garlic, masa chips, sesame oil and chives.
Even better, you can entrust the talents of Izard and her Girl & The Goat team with the ultimate showcasing of how to use Ranch Chili Crunch later this month. On Sept. 30, the Arts District restaurant will host The Chili Crunch Brunch for the ultimate Hidden Valley- Little Goat celebration, which will feature a multi-course, prix fixe menu with the new crunch front and center.
Reservations for the brunch are open now, but if you can’t make it, you can find Ranch Chili Crunch of This Little Goat’s website while supplies last.
Girl and The Goat is located at 555 Mateo St. 90013.
