Former publicist Kathy Duglin talks all things Style Vous Plait, her personal styling and shopping service for clients on the go.

Kathy Duglin knows fashion. For two decades, the impeccably dressed Angeleno ran L.A.-and-New York-based agencies KAD Publicity and d2 Publicity, where she and her team represented some of the top fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands worldwide. Throughout that time, Duglin helped various clients figure out their unique styles via personal shopping and wardrobe styling, eventually launching Style Vous Plait. Now, she’s left her PR career behind to dive head-first into the venture.

“Whether you’re looking for a seasonal wardrobe update, assistance with closet organization and editing, packing for your trip, personalized styling sessions, the creation of a custom lookbook, curated shopping experiences, or styling for special events, such as bridal or other milestones, we are here to help,” says Duglin, who is based in the Palisades. “In addition, we also specialize in curated gifting services for those thinking of thoughtful gift suggestions.”

Duglin’s services go far beyond simply showing up with a rack of high-end clothing and accessories. “We start in the closet and work our way through the existing wardrobe, editing outdated or ill-fitting pieces out, determining what could be altered, and styling looks along the way,” Duglin explains. “Clients can’t believe how many looks can be reworked and modernized with small tweaks and adjustments to create new, fresh looks that they can wear immediately. I recently worked with a client where I created over 100 fresh looks with existing pieces in her wardrobe,” she adds. “When assessing gaps to fill, our approach is rooted in a holistic understanding of each client’s lifestyle, preferences, and goals, ensuring that any new additions are both intentional and strategic.”

Style Vous Plait delivers an iPad loaded with photographs of every clothing item and accessory—with suggested looks and style tips—to each client, making choosing outfits for any occasion a breeze. “I love knowing I’m solving a stressor and helping my clients feel like the best version of themselves,” says Duglin, who would love to expand the business with stylists across the U.S. and Europe—she has clients nationwide and in London and Zurich. “It is this connection with clients and the transformation in their self-confidence and self-expression that fuels the inspiration and passion for what I do.”
