Lavo Ristorante Los Angeles
Tao Group Hospitality is expanding its portfolio of Los Angeles restaurants with the addition of Lavo Ristorante in West Hollywood.
Set to open in 2022 on the Sunset Strip, Lavo will be a reimagination of its sister locations with a lighter, brighter West Coast flair. Still offering an elevated dining experience, the restaurant promises to complement the Angeleno lifestyle as an all-day dining destination.
Already, Lavo has become notable for its retractable roof. The 250-plus seat space is the vision of the Venice-based Studio Collective. Aiming to transport guests from the hustle and bustle of Sunset Boulevard to a seaside town in Southern Italy, guests enter to a bar-height velvet banquette dotted with cocktail tables. The restaurant also features a double-height skylight with mouth-blown glass chandeliers and a horseshoe-shaped bar, an ode to Italianate architecture. Past the arched doorway from the bar, the patio dining terrace sprawls wide and seamlessly from the indoor space thanks to the retractable roof and operable windows. Outside, seating options include plush banquettes and tables. Speaking to the spirit and glam of Los Angeles, Lavo is embellished by a colorful palette of sensuous fabrics and feminine detailing to evoke a Mediterranean summer.
With Lavo Ristorante, Tao Group Hospitality brings an Italian dining experience already favored in New York City and Las Vegas. Out on the East Coast, Lavo is best known for its one-pound meatball topped with sheep’s milk ricotta. After eating, guests are then welcomed to continue the party in its downstairs nightclub. In Vegas, Lavo offers unbeatable views of the sparkling Strip right from The Palazzo.
Lavo Ristorante Los Angeles’ menu was created by chef and partner Ralph Scamardella. Highlighting signature dishes from its NYC location, it includes the infamous one-pound meatball, in addition to wood-fired pizzas and housemade pastas. Attesting to its L.A. flair, Lavo will also have new items inspired by Southern California’s abundant local produce. With his nearly three decades of dining experience working at renowned destinations like The Plaza Hotel and Carmine’s Restaurant, Scamardella ensures a top-tier dining experience of traditional Italian classics and seasonal dishes.
A stone’s throw from Soho House West Hollywood, Lavo Ristorante joins the Sunset Strip nightlife lineup and neighbors Bootsy Bellows, Rainbow Bar & Grill and the Whisky a Go Go.
